Continue to the beautiful early Hoysala temples at Belur and Halebid prior to travelling Karnataka’s second largest city – Mysore where there is a treasure trove of monuments from ancient India. DAY 1 ARRIVE MUMBAI (BOMBAY)
On arrival stay at The Taj Lands End.

DAY 2 MUMBAI – AURANGABAD
Morning flight to Aurangabad. Explore the Ellora Caves, dating back to the 4th and 9th centuries AD. Check in to the WelcomeHotel Rama International, and then spend the afternoon visiting Bibi Ka Maqbar and Panchakki.

DAY 3 AURANGABAD
Spend the day at the Ajanta Caves adorned with Buddhist sculptures and frescoes.

DAY 4 AURANGABAD – MUMBAI – HYDERABAD
Fly to Mumbai and then to Hyderabad to stay 2 nights at the Taj Falaknuma.

DAY 5 HYDERABAD
Visit Hyderabad’s stunning sites, the Charminar, and Mecca Masjid and Salar Jung Museum. Also drive out to the mighty Golconda Fort.

DAY 6 HYDERABAD – HAMPI
Full days drive to the ancient Vijayanagar capital of Hampi. On arrival stay at Royal Orchid Central.

DAY 7 HAMPI
Explore the ruins of Hampi, once one of the largest Hindu empires in the world. Board a private coracle and cross the Tungabhadra River seeing more of the Ruins and aqueducts.

DAY 8 HAMPI
Morning excursion to Hampi with afternoon at leisure

  DAY 9 HAMPI – CHIKMAGALUR
A full days drive to the southern tip of the Deccan Plateau, arriving at Chikmagalur and The Serai.

DAY 10 CHIKMAGALUR
Excursion to the fascinating early Hoysala temples at Belur and nearby Halebid.

DAY 11 CHIKMAGALUR – MYSORE
Continue southward to the ‘Sandalwood’ city of Mysore. En route visit the impressive hilltop monolithic statue at Shravanbelagola. Stay 2 nights at Wind Flower Resort & Spa.

DAY 12 MYSORE
A morning tour visits the ornate city palace and the top of Chaumundi Hill for panoramic views of the city. Stop to see the Nandi Bull before returning to the city. Afternoon visit to the Hoysala Temple at Somnathpur.

DAY 13 MYSORE – BENGALURU
This morning drive to nearby Srirangapatnam which boasts the ruins of Tipu Sultan’s summer palace. Continue to the bustling city of Bengaluru and stay 2 nights at the Taj West End Hotel.

DAY 14 BENGALURU
Morning excursion of ‘the Garden City’. Afternoon at leisure

DAY 15 DEPART BENGALURU
Early morning departure for onward destination.
