This magical vacation tour takes you to the untouched foothills of the Himalayas allows a spellbinding glimpse into the intriguing fusion of the cultures and vistas of India.

Your tour will begin in the Imperial capital Delhi where you will witness the heritage and grandeur of the Moghal Empire in India. Prepare to be humbled by the marble, mirrored Golden Temple of Amritsar before visiting the mystical misty valleys of Dharamsala.

You will have time to travel through the lush valleys containing hidden hill stations peppered with beautiful temples and tea plantations. Finally this tour will end in the summer Raj retreat of Shimla, where the roses and rhododendron still bloom amidst the beautiful oak and cedar forests framed by the spectacular snow capped Himalayan peaks.

DAY 1 ARRIVE DELHI
On arrival stay at The Imperial Hotel.

DAY 2 DELHI
After a leisurely start, spend the day touring old and New Delhi exploring the differences between the Moghul and British Capitals.

DAY 3 DELHI – AMRITSAR
Morning travel to New Delhi railway station. On arrival transfer to Ista Hotel for a stay of 2 nights. Afternoon visit to the infamous Jallianwala Bagh.

DAY 4 AMRITSAR
Morning travel to The Golden Temple glistening perfectly on the lake, one of India’s most pre-eminent attractions. Afternoon at leisure.

DAY 5 AMRITSAR – DHARAMSALA (MCLEODGANJ)
Morning drive to Dharamsala, home of the Tibetan Dalai Lama. A place of sheer beauty replete with rich forests inhabited by monkeys. On arrival check-in to Chonor House for 2 nights stay.

DAY 6 DHARAMSALA
Morning travel to the Tibetan Monastery & Kotwali Bazaar at the foot roads leading up to Mcleodganj – Upper Dharamsala, (Residence of His Holiness The Dalai Lama & Tibetans in exile) strung along a high ridge 10 kms above Dharamsala.

DAY 7 DHARAMSALA – TARAGARH
Morning travel to Taragarh visiting the monasteries and temples on the way to Taragarh Palace for 2 nights. Car and driver at disposal to explore surroundings.

DAY 8 TARAGARH
Day at leisure to explore the paddy fields, monasteries and breathtaking surroundings.

DAY 9 TARAGARH – PRAGPUR
Morning travel to Pragpur and check-in to Judge’s Court Hotel. Rest of day at leisure to explore the cobbled streets of Pragpur, a heritage hamlet founded as a memorial to a brave warrior princess of the 17th century.

DAY 10 PRAGPUR – SHIMLA
Morning travel to Shimla check in at Oberoi Cecil. The very first Oberoi hotel with huge rooms for comfort like never before. Rest of day at leisure.

DAY 11 SHIMLA
Morning sightseeing around this splendid mountain retreat. Meander through the timbered cottages, along the famous pedestrian avenue the Mall and up to the special views of the ridge.

DAY 12 SHIMLA
Day at leisure.

DAY 13 SHIMLA – CHANDIGARH – DELHI
Morning travel by road to Chandigarh airport for the flight for Delhi. On arrival transfer to The Taj Palace Hotel. Later transfer to Delhi international airport to board flight for onward destination.

DAY 14 DEPART DELHI
Early morning departure for onward destination.
