Let Greaves tailor the perfect journey throughout the Taj safaris circuit providing some of the best wildlife experiences in India.  The four luxurious lodges are located on the borders of well-known tiger reserves in Madhya Pradesh, including Panna, Bandhavgarh, Kanha and Pench.

This archetypal Kipling country is teeming with wildlife, including the elusive Bengal Tiger, Leopard, wild boar, sloth bear, wild dog, monkey and many varieties of deer.  The dramatic diversity of bird life is also prevalent here, from colourful peacocks and kingfishers to the mighty eagles and menacing vultures.

DAY 1: LONDON - DELHI

Arrive Delhi International Airport On arrival, transfer toTaj Palace Hotel

 

DAY 2: DELHI - JABALPUR - BANDHAVGARH

Morning fly to Jabalpur and transfer by road to Bandhavgarh (approximately 04 hours drive) and check-in at& Beyond Mahua Kothi Lodge (Luxury Cottage)

 

DAY 3: BANDHAVGARH

Early morning and afternoon game viewings by shared jeep

In the hilly northeast of the state, Bandhavgarh is Madhya Pradesh's second national park and was established in 1968. With steep cliffs and rocky hills covered with dense sal and bamboo forests, this compact park was once the game reserve of the Maharajas of Rewa and is an ideal habitat for the elusive Bengal (Indian) tiger. Other species found here include the Nilgai (blue bull), Panther, Wild Boar, Gaur, Chital (spotted deer), Sambar, Chinkara, and Barking deer. The bird life includes Paradise flycatcher, Malabar pied hornbill, and Orange-headed ground thrush, Green pigeon and species of Eagle.

 

DAY 4: BANDHAVGARH

Early morning and afternoon game viewings by shared jeep with visit to the local Born Free Foundation project.

DAY 5: BANDHAVGARH - KANHA

Early morning game viewing by shared jeep

Later transfer by road to Kanha (approximately 06 hours and 30 minutes drive)

On arrival, check-in at&BeyondBanjaar Tola(Tented Suite)

Afternoon walking tour through the local nature trails.

 

 

DAY 6: KANHA

In the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, Kanha National Park encompasses nearly 2,000sq km of deciduous forest, savannah grassland, hills and meandering rivers. Created in 1955 it was the inspiration behind Rudyard Kipling's classic 'The Jungle Book' and is home to 22 species of mammals and 230 species of birds. The area was once a hunter's paradise but today, stringent conservation programs protect the Park's fauna and flora making Kanha one of the most well maintained National Parks in Asia.  The  last preserve of the rare barasingha (hard ground adapted swamp deer) other species of wildlife include jackal, wild boar, cheetal, sambar, dhole (Indian wild dog) Indian fox, sloth bear, leopard and tiger. Amongst the numerous bird species, leaf warblers, minivets, common  peafoul,  various species  of flycatchers, parakeets, Indian rollers and mynah birds are frequently seen.

 

 

DAY 7: KANHA

Early morning and afternoon game viewings by shared jeep  with visit to local Born Free Foundation project.

 

DAY 8: KANHA - JABALPUR - MUMBAI

0930 hours:Transfer by road to Jabalpur Airport to board SpiceJet for Mumbai

On arrival in Mumbai, transfer to a local restaurant for dinner (on direct payment)

Later transfer to Mumbai International Airport Terminal 2 to board flight for London

 

DAY 9: MUMBAI - LONDON
