Explore south India in this exciting train tour
15-day tour explores India’s South beginning in Mumbai, down to the beach town of Goa, further to Kerala and the lush backwaters, heading east through the temple-rich state of Tamil Nadu arriving the east coast towns of Puducherry and Chennai before travelling north to Delhi. These two ‘Mail’ tours, with special on-board guests, such as novelist and writer Paul Theorux, well-known chefs and authors are scheduled to leave Mumbai weekly on Wednesday evenings. The train operates from September to April each year.

Make your vacation to India incredible with journey by train on board the Deccan Odyssey. Run by the Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation of India, this deluxe train comprises of 10 carriages, each with approximately 4 themed cabins. There are lounge carriages, a dining carriage, a conference carriage, a bar, massage center, steam bath, library, laundry and maid service.
The traditional 8-day tour, with departures most Wednesday’s from October through March, ventures through the unknown parts of the Deccan Plateau from
Mumbai to Goa and then back up to Pune and Aurangabad before returning to Mumbai. Each April and September, the Deccan Odyssey explores the North and South
of India.
